Weather On The Roof documents a rose bush and blueberry plant on a rooftop in Brooklyn between May 2016 and May 2018. The plants were photographed through seasonal changes and under varied weather conditions to capture the reaction of the organic elements to shifts in the atmosphere.
The photographs were shot on 35 mm film, which, like the plants, responds naturally to both light and temperature.
The project is a meditation on existence as defined by unpredictability, fluctuation, and constant metamorphosis, in which the changing weather conditions function as both an external and internal metaphor.
A self-published book of the project is available for purchase at Quimby's in Brooklyn, NY.
